Overview
For the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8, we designed a showcase site to demonstrate the product’s key functionalities.

This project was selected as 'Site of the Day' in 2017 by FWA and received the 'Innovation Grand Prize' from Web Award Korea in 2017.
Focus
In terms of design, I focused on solving for the following.
Highlight 6 key features of the product
Make it possible for the visitors to experience these features as if they were in a Samsung store
Explorations
1.  Navigation
A significant portion of the design explorations revolved around how to make it easy to navigate across the key features. I wanted to minimize the friction in navigation, because that can lead to significant drop-offs before users get to fully know the product.
2.  Feature walkthrough
Second aspect I explored deeply was how to make each feature intuitive and immersive to experience. In order to convey their value to the users, I simulated how each feature can be used with realistic scenarios. These involved heavy effects simulation. That led us to learn and adopt WebGL and 3D technologies to enable the designs.
3.  Responsive design and cross-browser support
In order to make this accessible by everyone, we made sure the design was responsive across different sizes and browser. We also optimized what to show depending on where user’s scroll position was and based on the visibility of the URL bar.
Final Design
Here is what we shipped.

Throughout the pages, I leaned into the use of gradient to create a space that feels immersive and helps users focus on the device at the center from all angles. Color of the gradient changes with the device color to insure that the experience continues to feel immersive.
